Main activities and responsibilities
My main activities as an assistant were supportive, administrative, scientific and innovative to the project “Development of Business Strategy to Russia”, initiated by SPATIA and JOSEK organizations with the participation of City Municipalities of Finland and Russia. This project was the pilot. Being involved in a project work, I was responsible for negotiations among the partners and preparation of the application's part from the Russian side for funding to the EU. Coordinating was my preliminary task. The project has got funding for implementation. Playing an active role in the project's elaboration, I could say that was my first professional success working abroad. Administative duties such as travel arrangements, office work and negotiations were a part of my job. Using different scientific methods and innovative approach to project's preparation we have achieved common goals and elaborated well-planned activities. Brain storming, qualitative and quantitative methods (SWOT – analysis, interview, social polls) were used during joint work.

My job was involved dealing with the public sector and communication where a positive and cheerful attitude is crucial. The work as a foreign relations officer and a project assistant gave me a good insight on how to deal confidently and persuasively as part of a team and I got used to working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines. Such a work requires great efficiency, endurance and professionalism. During the work I had the experience on realization of research experiments and became aware of project activities as well as practically managed project co-financing and implementation.




Organisational skills and competences
Leadership skills (previously responsible for international cooperation at the Karelian Research Centre of the RAS, work with the research fellows and administrative staff. (50 people).
Working as a project coordinator required lots of leading skills and responsibilities, as well as knowledge on cross-cultural communication, organisational skills – organization of conferences and seminars, I was responsible for all the necessary correspondence and documentation going on business to participate in various seminars and conferences, for instance Rural Areas Development Conference in Helsinki, Finland, good experience in project management and international cooperation – signing of a joint agreement between Oulu School of Economics and our Institute (2 post-graduate students were participating in exchange training each semester).

Good command of evaluation system development for the conference participants (I was responsible for the development of evaluation chart to assess the conventioneers presentations)

Music-attended musical school for 6 years, theatrical activities-public speaking skills, I am able to make presentations and participate in big events/conventions.
